Steve Maxted
I set up Maxted & Bareham Financial Services in 1992 with my friend Alan Bareham. Since then we have arranged thousands of mortgages. We started solely as New Home mortgage specialists but now with over 30 years of history we enjoy working with existing clients helping many with property portfolios, remortgaging existing homes and increasingly helping their children buy their first homes.
I am married with two grown up children and I enjoy racing classic cars and cycling in my spare time.
Keiron Smylie
I have been in financial services since 1996, and advising on mortgages, protection and life assurance for over 30 years.
I joined Maxted & Bareham FS Ltd in 2011, and during this time I’ve helped lots of clients through all the stages of their lives, buying their first property, buying larger properties when getting married or having children, right through to finally repaying their mortgage in full.
I enjoy helping people to overcome issues and obtain the correct mortgage for their circumstances.
I am very happy that so many of my original customers from my very first days in the industry still come back to me and also recommend their friends and family to me for advice.
I am married with a teenage daughter, who also keep me very busy!
Sharon Harman
I have worked in Financial Services for almost two decades following a career in High Street banking. I joined Maxted & Bareham in 2006 as a Mortgage Administrator before being promoted to Office Manager.
I have worked with hundreds of clients at all stages of the mortgage process and especially enjoy assisting first time buyers who are excited to own their first homes.
Outside of work, I have always been a keen reader and enjoy going to the theatre and on long walks, as well as pilates.
Hazel Wylde
I have worked in the Financial Services industry for 15 years and joined Maxted and Bareham as an Administrator in August 2016. I’ve worked in various roles, including processing, underwriting and collections but I love that my role here enables me to help people realise their dream of a new home. I enjoy helping first time buyers and equally enjoy helping existing and new clients too with their house move or remortgage.
Being married with two active boys who keep me busy and I’m always planning our next adventure. With this in mind I am a big advocate of having appropriate Life Assurance in place to provide for family.
